Kiera LoBreglio, Fragomen Fellow at the Justice Center, is interviewed by WBAI 99.5 FM about the announced closing of the Varick Street Federal Detention Center, and the Justice Center's legal clinic at the facility, the NYC Know Your Rights project.

LoBreglio, on the future of the NYC Know Your Rights Project: "That's a good question. We are working internally and with ICE to determine how we can continue the project. Of course moving to Hudson presents large logistical challenges....Transporting volunteers who have full time jobs at other law firms out to Hudson county on a Thursday morning is clearly going to be a problem. So as far as continuing the project, we're not sure what form that will take, but we hope that wherever the detainees are held we'll be able to get volunteers in and continue advising detainees.
