Mr. Jethmalani is one of India’s most distinguished personalities in the field of law. A Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, his legal, political, and humanitarian career includes participation in numerous high-profile cases in India as defense counsel, service as Chairman of Bar Council of India for four terms, public service as India’s Law Minister and Member of Parliament (where he is currently a Member), and service on many important Indian and international bodies. Among the many honors conferred upon him, Mr. Jethmalani is the recipient of the Human Rights Award conferred by World Peace Through Law, Washington, DC.
