From Henry Hudson’s encounter with the native people, to a revolutionary war battle, to the establishment of the country estates of Alexander Hamilton and the city’s elite, to its urbanization as a largely Jewish enclave, to the Harlem Renaissance, Harlem has a history like no other neighborhood. A wine and cheese reception will start at 6 pm followed by the program at 6:30 pm.
