Our legal system consists of rules, and structures to implement them. But Dr. King’s vision of the beloved community invokes the heart and the relationships that flow from a deeply spiritual place. Are these ideas incompatible? A subject for meditation, discussion, and reflection.
Speaker: VICTOR GOODE, founding faculty member of the CUNY Law School; former Executive Director of the National Conference of Black Lawyers. He was first introduced to meditation practice in 1975 and has experimented with Qi Gong relaxation techniques in his seminar classes to help students relax and focus.
Event Location: 42 West 44th St. (bet. 5th & 6th Ave.)
