| Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer Public Affairs Luncheon Tuesday, October 16, 2012 12:00 pm-2:00 pm Event has expired. Registration for this event is no longer available. The Public Affairs Luncheon Series features speakers who address matters of public interest. The luncheons provide a forum to enable members of the City Bar to network, socialize, and discuss matters of interest. The luncheons are open to the public. The speech is titled "Equal Justice and Equal Opportunity For All." Borough President Stringer's remarks will focus on the true realization of the promise of equal justice under law. In addition to discussing how the New York Bar's new requirements that applicants provide at least 50 hours of pro bono services can help address the crisis in civil legal services, the Borough President will focus on innovative ways to close the achievement gap that is at the foundation of inequality in New York City.
