From The Jungle to the 2008 California slaughterhouse investigation leading to the largest beef recall in U.S. history, independent investigationsplay a vital role in exposing abuses in animal agriculture. Today 13 states have enacted or are considering legislation criminalizing unauthorized video and photography in animal-agriculture facilities. A panel will discuss the legal, ethical, and public health concerns surrounding these laws.
