The public interest world can be an exhilarating and exceptionally rewarding place of employment for an attorney – and it also can be very difficult to break into. This panel of practitioners will discuss the journeys they took to reach their current positions, the realities of their day-to-day work lives, and the skills and backgrounds they believe are important to achieving success in a public interest position.

Speakers: ANN DIBBLE, Senior Staff Attorney, New York Legal Assistance Group; WENDY WYLEGALA, Supervising Attorney for Pro Bono Attorneys, Kids in Need of Defense; DIANE LUCAS, The Legal Aid Society; ARCHI PYATI, Sanctuary for Families; AARON GOLDMAN, NYC Department of Homeless Services

Sponsored by: Committee on Career Advancement and Management, Carroll Welch, Chair

Event Location: 42 West 44th St. (bet. 5th & 6th Ave.)
