| Finding a Non-Profit Board Position: Board Fair and Attorney Networking Event Wednesday, May 9, 2012 6:00 pm-8:30 pm Event has expired. Registration for this event is no longer available. Attorneys will have the opportunity to meet with approximately 30 non-profits who are looking for board members, learn more about non-profits, explore possible board opportunities. In a brief panel, we will discuss the legal duties of non-profit board members, what you should know before accepting a board position, how to maximize your board service, and how to leverage the opportunity to build your expertise and resume. The remainder of the evening will be networking with non-profits. Attorney-attendees interested in board positions are encouraged to bring current resume copies to provide to non-profits. The non-profit organizations attending the Fair have missions focused on, among others: education, underserved communities, the arts, literacy, women, children, the elderly, housing and global poverty.
