|EPCRS Questions and Answers with Scott Feldman of the IRS - A Teleconference|
Wednesday, May 16, 2012 12:30 pm-1:30 pm
Attorneys who work with employee retirement plans have come to rely on the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (“EPCRS”) as providing an effective method to correct retirement plan operational and documentary failures. The program is intricate, however, and a practitioner’s unfamiliarity with the applicable correction methods may cause a plan to be subject to disqualification and the plan sponsor subject to significant financial liability. Even practitioners who are familiar with the program often have questions about the application of the EPCRS to particular situations. In addition, there is uncertainty about the changes that will be implemented by the much-anticipated new EPCRS Revenue Procedure. Join us for a question-and-answer session about current EPCRS issues with Scott Feldman, Group Manager for the Northeast/MidAtlantic Voluntary Compliance Group of the Internal Revenue Service, who has graciously agreed to join us for this teleconference. Please note that any information or opinions shared will be those of Mr. Feldman and not those of the IRS.
